I have seeded a couple stories over my time here about people having sex with animals, mostly women having contact with canines. (although there are plenty of incidents with men as well, this is just a representation of recent news) We (me included in we) seem to either simply dismiss this as reprobate or make a joke thread of it. I don't mind that, there are many subjects I find it easier to laugh at than think about. However just today I passed 2 articles about more people engaging in sex acts with animals...I just cannot read anymore of it. So I got to thinking, what is really going on here?
This is one definition I found quickly.
But that doesn't answer the question on whole. Or maybe it just raises too many of them. Is it abuse? Why isn't it illegal is all states? Florida just got a law passed. And how much of this is really going on? When I was searching for a definition of this, the first page of results was about how to have sex with animals...safely, and with instructions. What the Hell?? Are we really this debase as a society? It is worldwide and apparently acceptable in many circles.
This is not about people dressing up as animals to turn on their mate...consenting adult activity is not the issue. This is about what appears to be a mental illness, that seems to be ignored. Is it because the victims are animals? Does sex abuse only come into play when we are talking about human victims? Is it because it is just too much to look at? or do we just not give a damn? Why do they do it?
I am seriously asking the question. Can this be dealt with? Is the willingness there? Or will this just be another human condition we don't want to look at? Look forward to your well thought out input. Thanks!
P.S. CoH...this is about a specific thing Bestiality.....connections to other activity engaged in by consenting adults is not the topic and will be deleted as such, if you wish to make connections of that sort, write your own article....thanks again.
